भीष्मद्रोणयोर्दुर्योधनं प्रति शमोपदेशः | Bhīṣma and Droṇa’s Counsel of Conciliation to Duryodhana

नमो धर्माय महते धर्मो धारयति प्रजा: । एतद्‌ धनंजयो वाच्यो नित्योद्युक्तो वृकोदर:

namo dharmāya mahate dharmo dhārayati prajāḥ | etad dhanaṃjayo vācyo nityodyukto vṛkodaraḥ ||

میں اس عظیم دھرم کو نمسکار کرتی ہوں، کیونکہ دھرم ہی تمام رعایا کو سنبھالے رکھتا ہے۔ یہ پیغام دھننجَی (ارجن) کو اور ہمیشہ عمل کے لیے آمادہ وِرکودر (بھیم) کو بھی پہنچانا—جس مقصد کے لیے ایک کشتریہ عورت بیٹے کو جنم دیتی ہے، وہی موزوں گھڑی آ پہنچی ہے؛ عالی ہمت مرد دشمنی ٹھہر جانے پر جوش نہیں کھوتے۔
