भीष्मद्रोणयोर्दुर्योधनं प्रति शमोपदेशः | Bhīṣma and Droṇa’s Counsel of Conciliation to Duryodhana

पश्यतां कुरुवीराणां तच्च संस्मारये: पुनः । जुएके समय द्रौपदीको जो सभामें जाना पड़ा और कौरव वीरोंके सामने ही दुर्योधन और दु:शासनने जो उसे गालियाँ दीं

paśyatāṃ kuru-vīrāṇāṃ tac ca saṃsmārayeyaḥ punaḥ | yatraika-samaye draupadī sabhāṃ gantum avāryatā, tatra kaurava-vīrāṇāṃ samakṣaṃ duryodhana-duḥśāsanābhyāṃ yā nindā-kṣepā uktāḥ, tad bhīmasenārjunayor eva tiraskāraḥ | ahaṃ punaḥ tasyāḥ smṛtiṃ teṣāṃ prati nidadhāmi ||

کُرو کے سورماؤں کی نگاہوں کے سامنے ہی میں تمہیں وہ بات پھر یاد دلاتی ہوں۔ ایک وقت تھا جب دروپدی کو مجبوراً راج سبھا میں جانا پڑا؛ اور انہی کوروَ یودھاؤں کے روبرو دُریودھن اور دُحشاسن نے اسے ذلیل گالیاں دیں۔ وہ ظلم درحقیقت بھیم سین اور ارجن کی بھی توہین تھا۔ اسی لیے میں وہ یاد پھر تازہ کرتی ہوں۔
