माधवी-प्रदानम् (Mādhavī Offered to Gālava) — Udyoga Parva 113

तथा तौ कथयन्तौ च चिन्तयन्तौ च यत्‌ क्षमम्‌ । प्रतिष्ठाने नरपतिं ययातिं प्रत्युपस्थिताौ,इस प्रकार परस्पर बातें करते और उचित कर्तव्यको मन-ही-मन सोचते हुए वे दोनों प्रतिष्ठानपुरमें राजा ययातिके दरबारमें उपस्थित हुए

tathā tau kathayantau ca cintayantau ca yat kṣamam | pratiṣṭhāne narapatiṁ yayātiṁ pratyupasthitau ||

یوں وہ دونوں باہم گفتگو کرتے اور دل ہی دل میں یہ سوچتے ہوئے کہ کون سا طریقِ کار مناسب ہے، پرتِشٹھان پہنچے اور راجہ یَیاتی کے دربار میں حاضر ہوئے۔
