gadāparvaṇy api tathā mudgamiśraṁ pradāpayet
The verse emphasizes dharmic practice through timely giving: on specific sacred observance-days (parvans), one should arrange charitable offerings—here, a food preparation mixed with mudga—reflecting the ethic of generosity aligned with ritual time.
Vaiśampāyana continues a prescriptive list of observances, stating that on the Gadāparvan as well, a mudga-mixed preparation should be given, indicating an ongoing description of meritorious gifts and rites.
