Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
इस जगत्में उस समय रोग नहीं होते, कोई भी मनुष्य अल्पायु नहीं दिखायी देता, स्त्रियाँ विधवा नहीं होती हैं तथा कोई भी मनुष्य दीन-दुखी नहीं होता है ।।
akṛṣṭapacyā pṛthivī bhavanty oṣadhayas tathā | tvakpatraphalamūlāni vīryavanti bhavanti ca ||
بھیشم نے کہا—اُس زمانے میں اس جہان میں بیماریاں نہیں ہوتیں، کوئی آدمی کم عمر دکھائی نہیں دیتا؛ عورتیں بیوہ نہیں ہوتیں اور کوئی بھی شخص دِین و دُکھ میں مبتلا نہیں رہتا۔ زمین بغیر جوتے اور بوئے ہی اناج پیدا کرتی ہے؛ جڑی بوٹیاں بھی خود بخود اُگ آتی ہیں؛ اور اُن کی چھال، پتے، پھل اور جڑیں—سب فطری طور پر قوت بخش ہوتے ہیں۔
