This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it signals the closure of a teaching unit in the Mokṣa-dharma section. Its function is to frame the preceding instruction as part of a structured ethical-spiritual discourse on dharma and liberation.
The text formally concludes an embedded illustrative story (upākhyāna) titled “Ujjha-vṛtti” within the Śānti Parvan’s Mokṣa-dharma portion, and it identifies the chapter number as the 360th.
