Prāyaścitta and Contextual Non-Culpability (प्रायश्चित्त-निमित्त-अदोषवाद)

जपन्‌ वान्यतमं वेदं योजनानां शतं व्रजेत्‌ । सर्वस्वं वा वेदविदे ब्राह्मणायोपपादयेत्‌

ویاس نے کہا—کوئی شخص کسی ایک وید کا جپ کرتے ہوئے سو یوجن کا سفر کرے، یا ایسی ہی مسافت دوبارہ طے کرے؛ یا وید کے جاننے والے برہمن کو اپنا سارا مال سونپ دے۔ ایسے سخت ریاضت اور اہلِ علم کو عظیم عطیے کے ذریعے—گایوں اور برہمنوں کا محافظ برہماہتیا کے گناہ سے چھوٹ جاتا ہے۔
