Śuka’s Guṇa-Transcendence and Vyāsa’s Consolation (शुकगति-वर्णनम्)

तेषु तेषु हि कालेषु तत्तदड़ विशिष्यते । येन यत्‌ सिध्यते कार्य तत्‌ प्राधान्याय कल्पते,राज्यके जो सात अंग हैं, उनमें सभी समय-समयपर अपनी विशिष्टता सिद्ध करते हैं। जिस अंगसे जो कार्य सिद्ध होता है, उसके लिये उसीकी प्रधानता मानी जाती है

teṣu teṣu hi kāleṣu tattad aṅgaṁ viśiṣyate | yena yat sidhyate kāryaṁ tat prādhānyāya kalpate ||

بھیشم نے کہا—مختلف اوقات میں سلطنت کے مختلف اجزاء ہی نمایاں اہمیت اختیار کرتے ہیں۔ جس جز کے ذریعے جو کام انجام پاتا ہے، اسی کام کے لیے اسی کو اوّلین سمجھنا چاہیے۔
