This verse is a colophon, not a doctrinal statement: it marks the completion of the chapter devoted to yogavidhi (the method of yoga) within Mokṣadharma, situating the teaching within the broader ethical aim of śānti (peace) and mokṣa (liberation).
The text signals the end of Adhyāya 300 in the Śānti Parvan’s Mokṣadharma section. In the narrative frame, Bhīṣma’s instruction concludes this chapter’s discourse on yoga practice.
