सुकुमार्या कुमार्या ते तस्मादेष शपाम्यहम्‌ । “जब आपके मनमें पहले इस सुकुमारी कुमारीके प्रति कामभावका उदय हुआ तो आपने मुझे नहीं बताया; इसलिये यह मैं आपको शाप दे रहा हूँ

sukumāryā kumāryā te tasmād eṣa śapāmy aham |

“جب پہلی بار تمہارے دل میں اُس نازک دوشیزہ کے لیے خواہش پیدا ہوئی تو تم نے مجھے نہ بتایا؛ اسی لیے میں تم پر یہ لعنت/شاپ جاری کرتا ہوں۔”
