This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it indicates the completion of a chapter devoted to the Parāśara-gītā within Mokṣa-dharma, framing the text as part of Bhīṣma’s broader instruction on liberation (mokṣa) and the principles of right living.
The narrator marks the end of the chapter: within Śānti Parva’s Mokṣa-dharma section, the chapter dealing with the Parāśara-gītā topic is declared finished, preparing the reader for the next unit of Bhīṣma’s discourse.
