Disordered daily discipline and loss of right discernment (treating dawn as night) are presented as ethical decline, whose visible fruit is constant domestic conflict; personal conduct and household harmony are linked to dharma.
Śakra (Indra) describes a degraded social condition: people sleep until after sunrise, invert the natural rhythm of day and night, and as a consequence their homes are filled with continual quarrels.
