शचीपति इन्द्र! जैसे तुम हो, वैसे ही बल और पराक्रमसे सम्पन्न अनेक सहस्र इन्द्र समाप्त हो चुके हैं ।। त्वामप्यतिबलं शक्र देवराजं बलोत्कटम्‌ | प्राप्त काले महावीर्य: काल: संशमयिष्यति,शक्र! तुम अपनेको अत्यन्त शक्तिशाली और उत्कट बलसे युक्त देवराज समझते हो; परंतु समय आनेपर महापराक्रमी काल तुम्हें भी शान्त कर देगा

Transliteration

tvām apy atibalaṃ śakra devarājaṃ balotkaṭam | prāpta-kāle mahāvīryaḥ kālaḥ saṃśamayīṣyati ||

Translation

اے شکر! تم اپنے آپ کو نہایت طاقتور، دیوراج اور سخت قوت والا سمجھتے ہو؛ مگر جب مقررہ وقت آئے گا تو عظیم پرَاکرم والا کال تمہیں بھی خاموشی میں لے آئے گا۔ اے شچی پتی! تم جیسے ہی قوت و دلیری سے آراستہ بہت سے ہزاروں اندر پہلے ہی انجام کو پہنچ چکے ہیں۔
