Adhyāya 178 — The courses of prāṇa-vāyu and the regulation of the bodily fire

यदि नाहं विनाश्यस्ते यद्येवं रमसे मया । मा मां योजय लोभेन वृथा त्वं वित्तकामुक,“ओ धनकी कामनावाले मन! यदि तुझे मेरा विनाश नहीं करना है, यदि तू इसी प्रकार मेरे साथ आनन्दपूर्वक रहना चाहता है तो मुझे व्यर्थ लोभमें न फँसा

yadi nāhaṃ vināśyas te yad evaṃ ramase mayā | mā māṃ yojaya lobhena vṛthā tvaṃ vittakāmuka ||

بھیشم نے کہا—اے دولت کے خواہاں دل! اگر تو میری تباہی نہیں چاہتا، اگر تو اسی طرح میرے ساتھ قناعت میں رہنا چاہتا ہے، تو مجھے بے فائدہ لالچ کے جوئے میں مت جوت۔
