पूजन्युवाच न कृतस्य तु कर्तुश्न सख्यं संधीयते पुनः । ह्ृदयं तत्र जानाति कर्तुश्विव कृतस्य च
pūjany uvāca na kṛtasya tu kartuś ca sakhyaṃ sandhīyate punaḥ | hṛdayaṃ tatra jānāti kartuś caiva kṛtasya ca ||
پوجنی نے کہا—اے راجن! جس پر ظلم ہوا ہو اور جس نے ظلم کیا ہو، ان دونوں کے درمیان پھر حقیقی دوستی قائم نہیں ہو سکتی۔ وہ بات کرنے والے اور سہنے والے—دونوں کے دل میں کھٹکتی رہتی ہے۔
ब्रह्मदत्त उवाच
A wrong leaves a lasting imprint on both sides: the victim cannot easily forget the injury, and the perpetrator cannot easily escape the awareness of having done it. Therefore, reconciliation and renewed friendship after harm are difficult and require more than outward agreement.
