Daṇḍotpatti-kathana (Origin and Function of Daṇḍa) — वसुहोम–मान्धातृ संवाद
नीलोत्पलदलश्यामश्नतुर्वष्ट श्वतुर्भुज: । अष्टपान्नैकनयन: शंकुकर्णोर्ध्वरीमवान्
nīlotpaladalaśyāmaś caturdaṃṣṭraś caturbhujaḥ | aṣṭapān naikanayanaḥ śaṅkukarṇordhvaromavān ||
بھیشم نے کہا—اس کے جسم کی تابانی نیلے کنول کی پنکھڑی کی مانند سیاہ فام ہے۔ اس کے چار دانت اور چار بازو ہیں؛ آٹھ پاؤں اور بہت سی آنکھیں ہیں۔ اس کے کان کھونٹوں کی طرح ہیں اور بدن کے رونگٹے اوپر کی طرف کھڑے رہتے ہیں۔ یہ بیان اس کے ہیبت ناک اور رعب انگیز پیکر کو ظاہر کرتا ہے۔
