कदाचित्‌ कालयोगेन सर्वप्राणिविहिंसक: । बलवान्‌ क्षतजाहारो नानासच्त्वभयंकर:

kadācit kālayogena sarva-prāṇi-vihiṃsakaḥ | balavān kṣata-jāhāro nānā-sattva-bhayaṃkaraḥ ||

ایک بار گردشِ زمانہ سے وہاں ایک طاقتور مخلوق نمودار ہوئی جو تمام جانداروں کو ایذا پہنچانے والی تھی۔ وہ خون خور تھی اور طرح طرح کے جنگلی جانوروں کے لیے دہشت بن گئی۔
