भীমेन युधिष्ठिरस्य त्यागवृत्तेः प्रतिषेधः
Bhīma’s Rebuttal of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Renunciatory Inclination
अथ चेदात्मभाग्येषु नान्येषां सिद्धिमश्रुते । तस्मात् कर्मव कर्तव्यं नास्ति सिद्धिरकर्मण:,यदि अपने भाग्यमें दूसरोंके कर्मोसे प्राप्त हुई सिद्धि नहीं आती, तब तो सभीको कर्म ही करना चाहिये। अकर्मण्य पुरुषको कभी कोई सिद्धि नहीं मिलती
atha ced ātmabhāgyeṣu nānyeṣāṁ siddhim aśrute | tasmāt karmaiva kartavyaṁ nāsti siddhir akarmaṇaḥ ||
اور اگر اپنے مقدر میں دوسروں کے اعمال سے حاصل ہونے والی سِدھی کی کوئی خبر نہیں، تو پھر خود ہی عمل کرنا چاہیے؛ بےعمل آدمی کو کبھی سِدھی نہیں ملتی۔
