स सिंहनादं विननाद कौरवो निपात्य भूमौ युधि भीममोजसा । बिभेद चैवाशनितुल्यमोजसा गदानिपातेन शरीररक्षणम्,भीमसेनको युद्धस्थलमें बलपूर्वक भूमिपर गिराकर कुरुराज दुर्योधन सिंहके समान दहाड़ने लगा। उसने सारी शक्ति लगाकर चलायी हुई गदाके आघातसे भीमसेनके वज्तुल्य कवचका भेदन कर दिया था
sa siṁhanādaṁ vinanāda kauravo nipātya bhūmau yudhi bhīmam ojasā | bibheda caivāśanitulyam ojasā gadānipātena śarīrarakṣaṇam ||
میدانِ جنگ میں زورِ بازو سے بھیم کو زمین پر پٹخ کر کورو راجا دُریودھن شیر کی طرح دھاڑنے لگا۔ پھر گدا کے ایسے وار سے جو بجلی/وَجر جیسی قوت رکھتا تھا، اس نے بھیم سین کے مضبوط زرہ کو چیر ڈالا۔
