कच्चित् स्त्रिय: सान्त्वयसि कच्चित् ताश्च सुरक्षिता: । कच्चिन्न श्रद्दधास्यासां कच्चिद् गुह्ूं न भाषसे,तुम स्त्रियोंको सान्त्वना देकर संतुष्ट रखते हो न? क्या वे तुम्हारे यहाँ पूर्णरूपसे सुरक्षित हैं? तुम उनपर पूरा विश्वास तो नहीं करते? और विश्वास करके उन्हें कोई गुप्त बात तो नहीं बता देते?
kaccit striyaḥ sāntvayasi kaccit tāś ca surakṣitāḥ | kaccin na śraddadhāsyāsāṃ kaccid guhyaṃ na bhāṣase ||
نارد نے کہا— کیا تم عورتوں کو تسلی اور نرم گفتاری سے خوش رکھتے ہو؟ کیا وہ تمہاری سلطنت میں پوری طرح محفوظ ہیں؟ اور کیا تم ان پر مکمل بھروسا نہیں کرتے اور کوئی راز کی بات انہیں نہیں بتاتے؟
