Dyūta-kathā-praśnaḥ — Inquiry into the Dice-Game Calamity
tato 'bravīt satyadhṛtir bhrātṝn sarvān yudhiṣṭhiraḥ | dvaipāyanasya vacanaṃ hovam samanucintayan |
The verse highlights dharmic leadership: a righteous person does not act impulsively but reflects on wise counsel (here, Vyāsa’s words) and then speaks and decides with truthfulness and responsibility toward family and duty.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Yudhiṣṭhira, after considering Vyāsa’s instruction, turns to address all his brothers, preparing to guide their next course of action based on that counsel.
