अतीत्य गड्डां शोणं च त्रयस्ते प्राड्मुखास्तदा । कुशचीरच्छदा जम्मुर्मागधं क्षेत्रमच्युता:
atītya gaṅgāṃ śoṇaṃ ca trayas te prāṅmukhās tadā | kuśacīracchadā jagmur māgadhaṃ kṣetram acyutāḥ ||
ویشَمپایَن نے کہا—گنگا اور شون کو پار کر کے وہ تینوں ثابت قدم سورما اُس وقت مشرق رُخ چل پڑے۔ کُش گھاس اور چھال کے کپڑے ہی سے بدن ڈھانپے ہوئے وہ سفر کرتے کرتے بالآخر مگدھ دیس کی سرحد تک جا پہنچے۔
