अवध्यकल्पा निहता नरेन्द्रा- स्तवार्थकामा युधि पाण्डवेयै: । तनन््मा शुचो भारत दिष्टमेतत् पर्याश्वस त्वं न सदास्ति सिद्धि:
sañjaya uvāca |
avadhyakalpā nihatā narendrās tavārthakāmā yudhi pāṇḍaveyaiḥ |
tan mā śuco bhārata diṣṭam etat paryāśvasa tvaṃ na sadāsti siddhiḥ ||
سنجے نے کہا—وہ بادشاہ جو گویا ناقابلِ قتل دکھائی دیتے تھے اور اپنے اپنے مقاصد کی تکمیل کی خواہش میں جنگ میں اترے تھے، پاندو کے بیٹوں نے میدانِ کارزار میں سب کو قتل کر دیا۔ پس اے بھارت، غم نہ کر۔ یہ سب تقدیر کا لکھا ہے؛ دل مضبوط رکھ، کیونکہ ہر ایک کو ہر وقت کامیابی نہیں ملتی۔
