The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma in its stark form: disciplined prowess and unwavering resolve in battle. It also suggests that power must be directed with purpose—Arjuna’s radiant arrows symbolize focused effort (prayatna) operating within the larger moral and fated framework of the war.
Sañjaya narrates that Arjuna releases blazing, powerful arrows from his chariot. These arrows manifest near Karṇa’s chariot, indicating Arjuna’s aggressive advance and the intensification of the duel between the two great warriors.
