راجہ دُریودھن کی بھلائی چاہنے والا مہابلی کرن، سات्यکی کو زیر کر کے، میدانِ جنگ میں ہولناک تیروں سے مسلح درون-ہنتا دھرشتدیومن کے سامنے جا پہنچا۔
संजय उवाच

Sañjaya reports that Karṇa, acting for Duryodhana’s benefit, has checked/defeated Sātyaki and then advances to face Dhṛṣṭadyumna—known as Droṇa’s slayer—who stands ready with fearsome arrows on the battlefield.
