Bhīma’s surge and dialogue with charioteer Viśoka

In a crisis where one’s forces are collapsing, the verse highlights disciplined unity and courage: warriors set aside personal fear to fulfill immediate duty—protecting their side and restraining a destructive adversary. It frames bravery not as recklessness but as organized resolve in service of responsibility.
As the Pāṇḍava army is being heavily slain, the sons of Draupadī, together with Sātyaki, Yudhiṣṭhira, and the Pāñcāla soldiers, regroup and charge in a coordinated assault against Droṇa’s son, Aśvatthāmā.
