अर्जुनस्य द्रोणिप्रतिघातः कर्णोपसर्पणं च

कृतो जिधघांसु: शैनेयं खड्गचर्मधृगभ्ययात् । इस प्रकार रणक्षेत्रमें युयुधानके द्वारा सारथि
sañjaya uvāca | kṛto jighāṃsuḥ śaineyaṃ khaḍgacarmadhṛg abhyayāt |
سنجے نے کہا—شَینَیَہ کو قتل کرنے کا عزم کر کے وہ تلوار اور ڈھال لیے اس کی طرف بڑھا۔ میدانِ جنگ میں یویودھان نے ورشسین کو سارتھی، گھوڑوں اور رتھ کے جھنڈے سے محروم کر دیا تھا؛ اس لیے وہ دو گھٹیکا تک اپنے رتھ پر ڈھیلا اور ششدر سا بیٹھا رہا۔ پھر دوبارہ اٹھا اور ساتیَکی کو مار ڈالنے کی نیت سے ڈھال و تلوار لے کر آگے بڑھا۔
