नरांस्तु कार्ष्णायसवर्म भूषणान् निपात्य साशथ्वानपि पत्तिभि: सह । व्यपोथयद् दन्तिवरेण शुष्मिणा स शब्दवत् स्थूलनलं यथा तथा
narāṁs tu kārṣṇāyasavarma-bhūṣaṇān nipātya sāśvān api pattibhiḥ saha | vyapothayad dantivareṇa śuṣmiṇā sa śabdavat sthūla-nalaṁ yathā tathā ||
سنجے نے کہا—اس طاقتور اور برتر جنگی ہاتھی کے زور سے وہ لوہے کے زرہ اور عمدہ زیورات پہنے ہوئے جنگجوؤں کو، ان کے گھوڑوں اور پیادہ سپاہیوں سمیت، زمین پر گرا کر کچلوا دیتا تھا۔ جیسے موٹے سرکنڈے روندے جائیں تو ‘چر چر’ کی آواز آتی ہے، ویسی ہی سخت ٹوٹنے والی آواز ان سپاہیوں کے کچلے جانے پر اٹھتی تھی۔
