Chapter 1
ततः प्रववृते युद्ध तुमुलं लोमहर्षणम् । कुरूणां पाण्डवानां च परस्परजयैषिणाम्
tataḥ pravavṛte yuddhaṃ tumulaṃ lomaharṣaṇam | kurūṇāṃ pāṇḍavānāṃ ca parasparajayaiṣiṇām ||
