Educational Q&A

When forces that obstruct sacred duties and communal religious life arise, the righteous ruler (or divine protector) is justified in removing them so that rightful worship, offerings, and dharmic order are restored.

Nārada describes how the Lord killed the rākṣasas and thereby reinstated proper ritual shares—offerings to the ancestors (Pitṛs) and sacrifices to the gods (Devas)—which had been disrupted.
