पति: कुरूणां गजसिंहगामी विशालवक्षा: पृथुलोहिताक्ष: । प्रादुश्षकारास्त्रमहीनतेजा माहेन्द्रमन्‍न्यत्‌ स जघान तेन

sañjaya uvāca | patiḥ kurūṇāṃ gajasiṃhagāmī viśālavakṣāḥ pṛthulohitākṣaḥ | prāduṣṣakārāstramahīnatējā māhendram anyat sa jaghāna tena ||

سنجے نے کہا— کوروؤں کے سردار یُدھشٹھِر، جو ہاتھی اور شیر کی مانند رفتار رکھتے تھے، کشادہ سینہ، بڑے سرخ چشم، اور بےکمی و بلند تابانی والے— انہوں نے ماہِندر استر ظاہر کیا؛ اور اسی کے ذریعے دوسرے تمام دیوی استروں کو کچل کر بےاثر کر دیا۔
