Chapter 89: Bhīma dispatched to protect Ghaṭotkaca amid escalating engagements

sañjaya uvāca | virathaṃ taṃ samāsādya citrasenaṃ yaśasvinam | ratham āropayāmāsa vikarṇas tanayas tava ||
سنجے نے کہا—اے راجن! رتھ سے محروم اپنے نامور بھائی چترسین کے پاس جا کر آپ کے بیٹے وِکرن نے اسے اپنے رتھ پر سوار کر لیا۔
संजय उवाच
Even within the harshness of war, kshatriya conduct includes protecting comrades and kin; restoring a chariotless warrior to safety and fighting capacity reflects loyalty and responsibility rather than mere aggression.
Chitrasena has lost his chariot and is exposed on the battlefield. Vikarna reaches him, brings him to his own chariot, and seats him there, preventing immediate vulnerability and enabling continued participation in the fight.
