Educational Q&A

A large army cannot be controlled by mere valor alone; a king must combine vigilance, strategic measures, and respectful treatment of troops to maintain stability and discipline.

Vyāsa offers counsel on the practical realities of managing a massive fourfold army, emphasizing that the ruler must actively use policy and honor to keep the forces steady rather than expecting sheer heroism to suffice.
