चेदिकाशिकरूषाणां सहस्राणि चतुर्दश । महारथा: समाख्याता: कुलपुत्रास्तनुत्यज:,वहाँ चेदि, काशि और करूष देशोंके चौदह हजार महारथी मौजूद थे, जिनकी बड़ी ख्याति थी, जो कुलीन होनेके साथ ही पाण्डवोंके लिये प्राणोंका परित्याग करनेको उद्यत थे

Transliteration

cedikāśikarūṣāṇāṃ sahasrāṇi caturdaśa | mahārathāḥ samākhyātāḥ kulaputrās tanutyajaḥ ||

Translation

سنجے نے کہا—چیدی، کاشی اور کروش کے چودہ ہزار مہارَتھی وہاں مشہور تھے—عالی نسب جوان، جو پانڈوؤں کے لیے جان نچھاور کرنے کو آمادہ تھے۔
