संरब्धयोर्महाराज समरे चित्रयोधिनो: । यथा देवासुरे युद्धे बलिवासवयोरभूत्,परंतप! महाराज! इस प्रकार समरांगणमें क्रोधपूर्वक विचित्र युद्ध करनेवाले उन दोनों वीरोंमें भीष्मके लिये बड़ा भारी युद्ध हुआ, मानो देवासुरसंग्राममें राजा बलि और इन्द्रमें दन्द्ययुद्ध हो रहा हो

سنجے نے کہا—اے مہاراج! میدانِ جنگ میں غضب سے بھرے ہوئے اُن دونوں نادر جنگجوؤں کی ٹکر بھیشم کے لیے نہایت ہی ہولناک بن گئی—جیسے دیو و اسور کی جنگ میں راجا بلی اور واسَوَ (اندر) کا مشہور دو بدو معرکہ۔
