सक्तुप्रस्थचतुर्भागं गृहाणेमं प्रसीद मे । पतिके ऐसा कहनेपर ब्राह्मणी बोली--'ब्रह्मन! हम दोनोंके धर्म और अर्थ समान हैं
saktuprasthacaturbhāgaṃ gṛhāṇemaṃ prasīda me |
نکُل نے کہا—“یہ سَتّو (بھُنے جو کے آٹے) کا پرستھ کا چوتھائی حصہ قبول کیجیے؛ مجھ پر مہربان ہوں۔” شوہر کے یوں کہنے پر برہمنی بولی—“اے برہمن! ہم دونوں کا دھرم اور ارتھ برابر ہے؛ پس مجھ پر خوش ہوں اور میرے حصے کا یہ پاؤ بھر سَتّو لے لیجیے، تاکہ اسے مہمانِ دیوتا (اَتِتھی) کو نذر کر دیں۔”
