Mokṣa-dharma Yoga-Upadeśa: Equanimity, Sense-Restraint, and Vision of the Ātman (आत्मदर्शन-योगोपदेशः)
surahasyam idaṁ proktaṁ devānāṁ bharatarṣabha | kaccin nedaṁ śrutaṁ pārtha manuṣyeṇeha karhicit ||
The verse emphasizes the extraordinary confidentiality and sanctity of certain divine teachings: Vāyu frames the instruction as a ‘secret of the gods’ and highlights its rarity among humans, underscoring reverence, careful transmission, and the exceptional status of the recipient.
Vāyudeva, addressing Arjuna (Pārtha) with honorifics, states that he has revealed a highly guarded divine secret and then asks whether any human in the world has ever heard such a teaching before—marking the revelation as unprecedented and weighty.
