Educational Q&A

Even after devastating conflict, dharma expresses itself through honoring the dead and fulfilling ritual and familial obligations; righteous conduct includes respectful remembrance and reconciliation rather than continued hostility.

The assembled eminent men bathe in the river and, with Yuyutsu placed at the front, perform a water-oblation (tarpana/udaka-kriyā) for Dhṛtarāṣṭra, acknowledging his passing and offering final respects.
