धृतराष्ट्रस्य पाण्डवेषु प्रीति-वृत्तान्तः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Affectionate Disposition toward the Pāṇḍavas

राज्ञस्तु चित्त रक्षन्तौ नोचतु: किंचिदप्रियम्‌ । धर्मके ज्ञाता माद्रीपुत्र नकुल-सहदेव सदा राजा धृतराष्ट्रके मनो$नुकूल ही बर्ताव करते थे। वे उनका मन रखते हुए कभी कोई अप्रिय बात नहीं कहते थे ।। ततः समानयामास धृतराष्ट्र: सुहृज्जनम्‌

rājñas tu cittaṃ rakṣantau nocatuḥ kiñcid apriyam | dharmake jñātā mādrīputrau nakula-sahadevau sadā rājā dhṛtarāṣṭrasya mano'nukūlam eva vyavaharataḥ sma | tau tasya manaḥ rakṣantau kadācid api nāpriyaṃ vacanam ūcatuḥ || tataḥ samānayāmāsa dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ suhṛjjanam ||

وَیشَمپایَن نے کہا: مادری کے بیٹے—نکُل اور سہدیَو—دھرم کے ماہر—ہمیشہ راجا دھرتراشٹر کی خوشنودی کے مطابق برتاؤ کرتے تھے۔ اس کے دل کا لحاظ رکھتے ہوئے وہ کبھی کوئی سخت یا ناگوار بات نہ کہتے۔ پھر دھرتراشٹر نے اپنے خیرخواہ دوستوں کے حلقے کو طلب کیا۔
