The verse highlights the sanctity of the hermitage and the ethical weight of entering the renunciant stage: when elders turn toward austerity and withdrawal, even exalted beings and ordinary people gather in reverence, treating the āśrama as a moral and spiritual center.
The speaker describes the arrival at the hermitage, which is attended by Siddhas and Cāraṇas and packed with people eager to see; the crowd is compared to star-clusters filling the sky.
