Kuntī’s Retrospective Uddharṣaṇa and Renunciatory Resolve (कुन्त्युद्धर्षण-प्रत्याख्यानम्)
अभिवादितो वधूभिश्न कृष्णद्याभि: स पार्थिव: । गान्धार्या सहितो धीमान् कुन्त्या च प्रत्यनन्दत
abhivādito vadhūbhiś ca kṛṣṇādyābhiḥ sa pārthivaḥ | gāndhāryā sahito dhīmān kuntayā ca pratyanandata ||
پھر کرشنا (دروپدی) وغیرہ بہوؤں نے گاندھاری اور کنتی کے ساتھ اُس دانا راجا دھرتراشٹر کو پرنام کیا؛ اور انہوں نے بھی خوش ہو کر سب کو دعائیں اور آشیرواد دیے۔
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even after devastating conflict, dharma is sustained through proper conduct: juniors offer respectful salutations, elders respond with gracious acceptance. The verse highlights social-ethical repair—restoring dignity, restraint, and mutual honoring within a fractured family.
The daughters-in-law, led by Draupadī, formally greet Dhṛtarāṣṭra. He is with Gāndhārī and Kuntī, and he responds warmly—receiving their salutations and expressing pleased approval (implicitly, blessings).
