Transliteration

tan nibodha mahābāho sarvaṃ nigadato mama | suvarṇakā dānaṃ tubhyaṃ uttamaṃ phalaṃ dāsyati; yasmād dānārthe śreṣṭhatamaṃ prakīrtitam | mahābāho! suvarṇakā yad rūpaṃ, yasmāt sambhūtaṃ, yathā ca viśeṣa-guṇakārī, tat sarvaṃ te bravīmi—śṛṇu me |

Translation

بھیشم نے کہا—اے مہاباہو! جو کچھ میں بیان کرتا ہوں اسے خوب سمجھ لو۔ سونے کا دان تمہیں اعلیٰ ترین پھل دے گا، کیونکہ اسے دانوں میں سب سے افضل کہا گیا ہے۔ اے مہاباہو! سونا کیسا ہے، کس سے پیدا ہوا، اور کس طرح وہ خاص تاثیر رکھتا ہے—یہ سب میں تفصیل سے بتاتا ہوں؛ میری بات سنو۔
