Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows
स्वधीतस्यापि च फल दृश्यतेअमुत्र चेह च । इहलोके<थवा नित्यं ब्रह्मलोके च मोदते,वेदोंके स्वाध्यायका फल भी इहलोक और परलोकमें भी देखा जाता है। स्वाध्यायशील द्विज इहलोक और ब्रह्मलोकमें भी सदा आनन्द भोगता है
svadhītasyāpi ca phalaṃ dṛśyate ’mutra ceha ca | ihaloke ’thavā nityaṃ brahmaloke ca modate ||
بھیشم نے کہا—وید کے سوادھیائے (خود مطالعہ و تلاوت) کا پھل بھی یہاں اس دنیا میں اور وہاں پرلوک میں، دونوں جگہ ظاہر ہوتا ہے۔ سوادھیائے میں لگن رکھنے والا دِوِج (دو بار جنما) اس لوک میں بھی اور برہملوک میں بھی ہمیشہ مسرور رہتا ہے۔
