गवां लोकवर्णनं तथा गोप्रदानफलश्रुतिः
Description of the ‘World of Cows’ and the Stated Fruits of Cow-Gift
प्रचारे वा निवाते वा बुधो नोद्वेजयेत गा: । तृषिता हाभिवीक्षन्त्यो नरं हन्यु: सबान्धवम्
bhīṣma uvāca | pracāre vā nivāte vā budho nodvejayet gāḥ | tṛṣitā abhivīkṣantyo naraṃ hanyuḥ sabāndhavam |
گائیں آزادانہ چر رہی ہوں یا بےآزار پُرسکون جگہ پر بیٹھی ہوں—دانشمند آدمی کو انہیں پریشان یا خوف زدہ نہیں کرنا چاہیے۔ کیونکہ جب گائیں پیاس سے تڑپ کر پانی کی آرزو میں انسان کی طرف دیکھتی ہیں اور وہ پانی نہیں دیتا، تو وہ غضب ناک نگاہ سے اسے اس کے رشتہ داروں سمیت ہلاکت تک پہنچا دیتی ہیں۔
