इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत अनुशासनपर्वके अन्तर्गत दानधर्मपर्वनें विशज्वामित्रका उपाख्यानविषयक चौथा अध्याय पूरा हुआ,तत्र चामिषलुब्धेन लुब्धकेन महावने । अविदूरे मृगान् दृष्टवा बाण: प्रतिसमाहित: उस महान् वनमें थोड़ी ही दूर जानेपर मांसलोभी व्याधने कुछ मृगोंको देखा और उनपर बाण चला दिया
tatra cāmiṣa-lubdhena lubdhakena mahāvane | avidūre mṛgān dṛṣṭvā bāṇaḥ pratisaṃhitaḥ ||
اسی گھنے جنگل میں کچھ ہی دور جا کر گوشت کے لالچی شکاری نے چند ہرن دیکھے، نشانہ باندھا اور ان پر تیر چلا دیا۔
