संधानस्य पर: कालस्तवेति च पुन: पुनः । न च मे तद् वचो मूढ: कृतवान् स सुमन्दधी: । घातयित्वेह पृथिवीं ततः स निधनं गत:
sandhānasya paraḥ kālas taveti ca punaḥ punaḥ | na ca me tad vaco mūḍhaḥ kṛtavān sa sumandadhīḥ | ghātayitveha pṛthivīṃ tataḥ sa nidhanaṃ gataḥ ||
بھیشم نے کہا—میں نے اسے بار بار کہا: “اب تمہارے لیے صلح کا بہترین وقت آ گیا ہے۔” مگر وہ گمراہ، نہایت کم فہم میری بات پر نہ چلا۔ اس زمین پر قتل و غارت برپا کرا کے آخرکار وہ خود بھی ہلاکت کو پہنچا۔
