चर्मण्वती नदी पुण्या कौशिकी यमुना तथा । नदी भीमरथी चैव बाहुदा च महानदी
carmaṇvatī nadī puṇyā kauśikī yamunā tathā | nadī bhīmarathī caiva bāhudā ca mahānadī ||
بھیشم نے کہا—مقدّس ندیاں: چرمَنوتی، کوشِکی اور یمنا؛ اسی طرح بھیمَرَتھی، باہُدا اور عظیم مہانَدی—(اور ان کے ساتھ یہاں دیوتاؤں، رِشیوں، گندھرو-اپسراؤں، تیرتھوں، پہاڑوں، زمانے کی تقسیمات اور کائناتی قوّتوں کی طویل فہرستِ اسماء بیان کی جا رہی ہے)—سب کے سب قابلِ تعظیم اور محافظ کے طور پر پکارے جاتے ہیں۔ ان کا نام لے کر اور یاد کر کے آدمی خود کو مبارک رِت/دھرم کے نظام کے ساتھ ہم آہنگ کرتا ہے؛ اور جن کے نام لیے گئے اور جن کے نہیں—وہ سب الٰہی قوّتیں ہماری ہر سمت سے حفاظت کریں۔
