तेजसामपि यत् तेजस्तपसामपि यत् तपः । शान्तानामपि य: शान्तो द्युतीनामपि या झ्युति:
tejasām api yat tejas tapasām api yat tapaḥ | śāntānām api yaḥ śānto dyutīnām api yā dyutiḥ ||
وایو نے کہا— جو روشنوں میں بھی سراسر روشنی ہے، جو ریاضت کرنے والوں میں بھی عین ریاضت ہے؛ جو پُرسکونوں میں بھی سب سے بڑھ کر پُرسکون ہے اور جو چمکنے والی ہر شے میں بھی اصل درخشانی ہے—وہی ہر فضیلت میں اعلیٰ ترین فضیلت ہے۔ جس سے سب جہان پیدا ہوتے ہیں اور جس میں پھر فنا ہو جاتے ہیں، جو تمام بھوتوں کا آتما ہے—اے مردوں کے شیر! اس بے پایاں جلال والے بھگوان شِو کے ایک ہزار آٹھ نام مجھ سے سنو۔ محض سن لینے سے تمہاری تمام آرزوئیں پوری ہو جائیں گی۔
