अहो ब्राह्मणकर्माणि मया मारुत तत्त्वतः । त्वया प्रोक्तानि कार्त्स्न्येन श्रुतानि प्रयतेन च
aho brāhmaṇakarmāṇi mayā māruta tattvataḥ | tvayā proktāni kārtsnyena śrutāni prayatena ca || vāyudeva! ||
ارجن نے کہا—اے وایودیو! برہمنوں کے فرائض اور اعمال کتنے حیرت انگیز ہیں! آپ نے انہیں مجھ سے سچائی کے ساتھ اور پوری طرح بیان کیا، اور میں نے بھی نہایت توجہ سے سب کچھ سنا ہے۔
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical ideal of receiving dharma-instruction: the teacher should explain truthfully and completely, and the student should listen with diligence and focused attention—especially regarding the duties (karma) proper to the brāhmaṇa.
Arjuna addresses Vāyu (Māruta/Vāyudeva), expressing joy and appreciation that Vāyu has fully described the remarkable duties of brāhmaṇas, and affirming that he has heard the teaching attentively.
