Pratyakṣa–Āgama–Ācāra: Doubt, Proof, and the Practice of Dharma (प्रत्यक्ष–आगम–आचारविचारः)

तेषामृषिकृतो धर्मो धर्मिणामुपपद्यते । न कामकारात्‌ कामोडन्य: संसेव्यो धर्मदर्शिभि:

teṣām ṛṣikṛto dharmo dharmiṇām upapadyate | na kāmakārāt kāmo 'nyaḥ saṁsevyo dharmadarśibhiḥ ||

جو لوگ دھرم پر قائم رہتے ہیں، اُن کے لیے رِشیوں کا مقرر کیا ہوا آچرن ہی درست ٹھہرتا ہے اور پھل دیتا ہے۔ جو گِرہست دَمپتی دھرم نبھاتے ہوئے پتنی کو دھرم-سہچری بنا کر رکھتے ہیں، اِندریہ-سَیَم کے ساتھ وید-وِہِت دھرم کا آچرن کرتے ہیں اور صرف رِتو-کال میں ہی استری-سنگ کرتے ہیں—اُن دھرماتماؤں کو رِشیوں کے بتائے ہوئے دھرم کے پالن کا پھل ملتا ہے۔ دھرم کو صاف دیکھنے والوں کو محض خواہش یا من مانی سے بھوگ کی طرف نہیں جانا چاہیے؛ کام-پرَیرِت لذت کو زندگی کا طریقہ نہیں بنانا چاہیے۔
